Who we are
Colorado-based nonprofit organization dedicated to welcoming and uplifting Swahili-speaking immigrants and refugees from Central, Eastern, and Southern Africa—along with individuals from other linguistic and cultural backgrounds who find resonance with our mission. We exist to bridge the gap between newly arrived families and the institutions, opportunities, and networks that enable them to build secure, independent, and productive lives in the United States.
Swahili Immigrant Support Center
We recognize that resettlement is more than relocation; it is a complex journey involving language acquisition, cultural adaptation, employment, education, health navigation, and emotional healing. SISC responds to these intersecting needs with culturally relevant, community-driven assistance delivered in Swahili and other languages familiar to our participants. By honoring cultural identity while fostering integration, we help families retain dignity and agency as they navigate new systems.

Pathways to Self-Sufficiency
Our work centers on holistic access to essential resources. We guide clients through critical processes such as housing searches, school enrollment, healthcare appointments, legal and immigration referrals, and connections to public benefits. We pair these supports with practical skill-building—English language practice, digital literacy, financial education, and job readiness—so that short-term stabilization leads to long-term self-sufficiency.
