Services we provide at SISC
Swahili Immigrant Support Center (SISC) offers a wide range of culturally responsive services to empower refugees and immigrants in Colorado. These include food assistance, job readiness training, ESL and computer literacy classes, immigration legal support, social service navigation, and trauma-informed counseling. Each service is designed to support successful integration, promote self-sufficiency, and improve overall well-being for Swahili-speaking communities.
Our Services

Food Assistance
SISC supports immigrants and refugees experiencing food insecurity by providing grocery store gift cards and connecting them with local food banks, food pantries, and statewide nutritional support resources across Colorado communities.

Employment Readiness
SISC helps job seekers improve computer skills, create resumes, and get guidance through the job search. We support clients with interview preparation and employment tools so they can secure reliable work and earn sustainable incomes.

English Language Education (ESL)
SISC offers ESL classes with Swahili interpretation to support limited English speakers. These classes help them communicate, pursue job opportunities, continue education, and engage confidently in the broader Colorado community.

Computer Literacy Classes
SISC provides foundational digital skills through computer classes tailored for Swahili-speaking newcomers. This training promotes self-reliance and helps individuals access resources, apply for jobs, and participate in modern society.

Immigration Legal Services
SISC connects Swahili-speaking immigrants and refugees to trusted immigration attorneys and legal aid groups for help with asylum, naturalization, work permits, residency, and other legal matters to support lawful status and safety.

Social Services
SISC assists immigrants and refugees with applying for SNAP, Medicaid, housing, and other public benefits through our culturally appropriate and language-accessible Benefits Center, helping them gain lasting support and stability.
